Cook MyoSite is the first and only supplier to make primary human fibro-adipogenic progenitor (FAP) cells available for use in your laboratory. These notoriously difficult-to-isolate and slow-growing cells are now available on a limited basis while a more extensive inventory of characterized donor lines is established. Please fill out the form and a representative will be in touch within one business day to answer any questions, facilitate the ordering process, and gauge your interest in providing feedback on this product.
Fibro-adipogenic progenitor cells are tissue-resident progenitor cells with ‘stem-like’ properties that are dormant by default until acute injury of muscle fibers cause them to activate. Under normal circumstances, these cells are involved in muscle regeneration, but in a variety of diseases altered FAP cell responses are a major cause of muscle pathology and muscle loss. Research in the field is growing rapidly, and current literature supports a role for these cells in the homeostasis and repair of multiple tissues suggesting that FAPs may have extensive therapeutic potential in the treatment of numerous diseases.
Our laboratory is among the most well-equipped facilities worldwide for handling human muscle tissue and cell culture, which means your lab can count on a pure, uncontaminated, and reproducible product in Cook MyoSite FAP cells.
At Cook MyoSite, our services are backed by nearly two decades of clinical experience in muscle-related research. FAP cells are processed using only the highest quality materials, and our highly experienced Laboratory Research Services team provides expert customer service and technical support to ensure that the cells perform as expected.
